I'm a United Methodist pastor, husband and father. I'm passionate about doing church in a real and relevant way, without pretense or prejudice but with plenty of humility, humor and heart.
I've been pastoring churches since 2008, and have been richly blessed by every community of faith that I've had the pleasure of serving. Most recently in July of this year, I've been appointed here to Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Myersville. I’m astounded by the beauty of this area and the warmth of the people I have encountered. Truly, my family and I are richly blessed to have been brought here. I love meeting and talking with new and different people. If you come to worship with us, please take a moment to say hi and tell me a little about yourself. I tend to be a fairly approachable and down-to- earth kind of guy.
It's an exciting time to be a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Methodism has a rich history and theology that I believe is so applicable to where people and the Chuch find themselves today. I'm a little bit of a Methodist nerd, so if you're curious about it - please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
I do my best to preach a message every Sunday that connects people deeper to Jesus, helps them know that God really and truly loves them, and challenges them to live in response to God's amazing love. I really appreciate thoughtful and constructive feedback.
My family is dearly important me, and one of God's greatest gifts. I been in love with my wife since High School, and we've been married for 5 years. My three-year old son is the light of my life, a constant source of both laughter and challenges. It amazing how much you see who God is through those you love most isn't it?
For anyone interested, I graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC with a Master's of Divinity in 2011 (no, not the fudge - it's a professional degree for pastors).
Again, feel free to contact me anytime.
